Burnley Clarets

John Walton, one of the Clarets co-founders previews this months fixtures:

..Burnley Clarets expect to be back to full strength for the FPL fixtures on October 23rd.
Ted Whitehead , leading scorer last term (pictured below) when the team played as Burnley FC in the Community, is back in training following a back injury, while industrious midfielder Dave Stobbs has returned from holiday, as has Graham Lord, who will make his FPL debut this month.
The Clarets had a tough time in the opening round of games, coming up against bang-in-form champions Bolton Arena in the first game and going down 4-0, then facing always-tricky opponents in Striders and Bees, picking up a score draw against the latter to add two points to the three fair play points gained, leaving the Turf Moor team in third place in the table.
It’s been a tricky birth for the team after Burnley FC in the Community finally revealed they would not be backing a team in the league this term. Goalkeeper Graham Hill had the idea to form a self-sufficient replacement team, and fellow player John Walton was soon on board to help. A strip had to be bought, plus balls and the other paraphernalia to back up the men on the pitch.
While some in the league will have been playing throughout the summer, the Burnley team had six weeks without facilities, although Burnley FC in the Community sessions have now resumed at Turf Moor.
