Curzon Ashton also known by their nickname ‘The Nash’ are currently the highest placed club in Tameside, a hot bed of non-league football for more than  a century.

Formed relatively recently in 1963 the club has enjoyed more than half a century of steady progress.

Grandstand view

Their stadium was opened by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2005.  Since then they have established themselves in the sixth tier of English Football -The Vanarama National League North.

The club enjoys a stable management regime and enjoys the services of a heavily committed band of volunteers and has a community focus.  Each week hundred of local people of all ages converge on the training ground to play football, and more recently walking football too. This year, with the aid of the ‘Football Foundation’ and money raised by supporters and the club themselves (aided by  a great F.A. Cup run in 2016-2017) the entire training area was resurfaced to provide a magnificent playing facility.

There are also social facilities on site with The Nash bar and a banqueting suite above the grandstand.

The club have been supportive of walking football since July 2016 when the Nash Amblers were formed. First team coach Mark Bradshaw -a former Professional footballer – takes a hands on role at our sessions and the insights he offers into the game are invaluable. More <here>
